Learning From Leaders
American University has a long tradition of providing students the opportunity to hear directly from global leaders and experts. From heads of state to chief executives, AU brings some of the world's most influential leaders to our campus. AU students—known for being politically and socially active—engage in frank, insightful discussions with the leaders who are shaping the world.
This past spring, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke at AU's School of International Service and invited students to add their voice to the conversation. "For me, one of the best ways to make sure that [forward] thinking is folded into the political process and the process of governance is regular contact with and empowerment of young folks like all of you," said Trudeau.
Giving students the chance to meaningfully interact with world leaders in politics, business, and humanitarian organizations, among others, is one of the cornerstones of the AU experience. With your support, you will ensure that AU students today and in future generations are exposed to and inspired by these influential individuals.
